New toy vs Old toy

Note to self:  It doesn't matter the cost or quality of any new toy bought - no enthusiasm will be shown for new toys... in fact the mere introduction of this will result in cat deciding that an old toy he never liked before is his new favourite.
Recipe for success: Put said new toy in cupboard or leave lying on the floor for a couple of weeks. One day you'll find cat playing with it... on his terms!

Hi everyone, we're back!!! Thanks to all for the good wishes... I dearly wish I had been on holiday, but I've been on a mammoth study cram session over the weekend which I'm happy to say is over now! It's nice to be back in the blogosphere again and I'm looking forward to catching up on all the goings on tomorrow.

For now though, it's been another long day at work and the kitties want cuddles, so I suppose I'd better get onto that...

=^..^=

Nice to see you back!

Typical reaction to new toys. We know it well. LOL. But actually we don't like our nip banana! You can have it. :-P

Mom does not believe she did not put the magic word in and lost her reply...but she did.

Mr Darcy we also love the nip nanner, in fact it is the most favorite toy in our house.
WE are so glad to see you back

welcome back! you are on the money about putting a toy away for a while and then it becomes a new fave! Cody will never play with a new toy immediately (especially if it is for a blog lol)...but you leave the room or put it away and reintroduce it, whammo!

Welcome back! We missed you!!

It is soooo hard to please kids! I totally understand what you are going through :-)
They show no interest in fancy toys from store, but love things like cotton swab, bathroom tissue, toothpick, or something like that. But it's okay - as long as they are happy :-)

I hope Mr Darcy and Sookie will enjoy the new toy...some day!

I always play straight away for the new toy, and then after a few week, no more touching !..I just want to say for my mom...NEXT ! ( MOL ..That's trick to get the new toy ; )

Your sure are floofy, Mr Darcy! We do the same with any new toy that Mommy brings home for us. Just when she's all but given up hope, she'll hear us playing (our bells) with it. We love doing it to her.
