Meet Some Friends Monday

Firstly an update on the dreaded Furminator! I really wish I could show you 'before and after' photos of Mr Darcy, but the truth is that he still hates being groomed and does his very best to avoid it... even with the new Furminator. I am perservering and getting about 4 handfuls of fluff out everyday but I think it will be a slow and constant process over winter to keep his coat matt free. On the other hand Sookie loves it, which is ironic because her coat really doesn't need so much upkeep!

And so on to today's post. I was delighted to be contacted by Gayle, who lives with her mum in a small village called Kenmay in Aberdeenshire in Scotland and owns two gorgeous Ragdolls. Better yet, she sent me some photos to share with you all!

So without further ado I introduce to you:

Rosie and Charlie
"Rosie is our little lady..."
"...Charlie thinks he's a big man but he loves his scarf in the winter!"

When Gayle sent me these photos I noticed that Rosie was wearing a leash. I may have mentioned previously that I have tried to train Sookie so that I can take her and Darcy for walks but that she gets very upset every time I put the harness on her, so I asked Gayle if she could share her experience:

Gayle:
"We live on a busy street and unfortunately have lost two cats in the past to the busy road so we decided to buy each of them a leash. It was very entertaining the first time they got their leash on as they collapsed on the ground like a ragdoll does, however, by the third attempt they were sitting by the doorway waiting!

They both walk around the garden quite the thing now and have gotten into a little routine. They go out for a walk in the morning, afternoon and after tea."

...so maybe there is hope for Sookie yet??!!

Rosie observing the birds from a mini wheel barrow...
...and enjoying a stroll
Charlie finds a quiet spot on the cabinet, tired after one of his walks outdoors...

Thanks to Gayle for introducing me to her lovely raggies, I hope you all enjoyed meeting them too!
